چکیده

Introduction The prostanoids are a family of biologically active lipids derived from the 20-carbon essential fatty acids (LCPUFA) which are involved in all aspects of the immune response including the resolution of inflammation. ω3-fatty acids, EPA DPA and DHA are anti-inflammatory, whilst the ω6fatty acid, Arachidonic acid (AA) and its metabolites: 13 (S)-HETE, TXB2, PGF2a and 6-k-PGF1a are pro-inflammatory. Liquid Chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MSMS) allows analyses of multiple prostanoids with high accuracy using 3 mm blood spots. This method has never been used in JIA and may find biomarkers which can help predict disease activity and treatment response.

(1)H-Nuclear Magnetic Resonance-Based Plasma Metabolic Profiling of Dairy Cows with Fatty Liver.

Fatty liver is a common metabolic disorder of dairy cows during the transition period. Historically, the diagnosis of fatty liver has involved liver biopsy, biochemical or histological examination of liver specimens, and ultrasonographic imaging of the liver. However, more convenient and noninvasive methods would be beneficial for the diagnosis of fatty liver in dairy cows. The plasma metabolic...

Determination of Fatty Acid Compositions as Biomarkers in the Diet of Turbo coronatus in Chabahar Bay

The aim of this study was to obtain a basic knowledge of the fatty acid compositions and consequently, determination of diet for Turbo coronatus by means of fatty acids biomarkers. Samples were collected during a year (April, July, October 2007 and February 2008) in coastal areas of Chabahar Bay in Oman Sea. Biomarker fatty acids revealed that diet of Turbo coronatus included phytoplankton, zoo...

PReS-FINAL-1016: Micro vesicles as a magnifying glass; uncovering potential biomarkers in juvenile idiopathic arthritis

Introduction Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is a common chronic inflammatory diseases in childhood. Despite remission as a result of a plethora of treatment techniques, the chronic and relapsing nature of the disease requires continuous treatment which causes adverse side effects. It is important to uncover a biomarker that can efficiently predict patient responses to therapy as well as de...

PReS-FINAL-2020: Cell type specific transcriptome analysis in patients with enthesitis related arthritis category of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA-ERA)

Introduction Enthesitis Related Arthritis Category of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA-ERA) is the most common category of JIA seen in Asian Indians. Transcriptome analysis is a useful tool to analyse pathways involved in disease pathogenesis. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) and SFMC analysis showed involvement of innate immune cells in JIA-ERA. However PBMC/SFMC have variable numbe...

PReS-FINAL-2152: Biomarkers as predictors of early inactive disease in children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis

Introduction The outcome of children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) has improved over the last decades. However, the disease course is still not easy to predict, especially based on traditional clinical factors. In the German prospective controlled observational multicentre study ICON-JIA (Inception Cohort Of Newly-diagnosed patients with JIA) patients with diagnosis of JIA <12 months...
